A letter for Tània

Dear Tania,

I am writing to you because I am missing you. For a month you have been to Ireland and I would like you to be here with me. I know you are well and I am happy you are there, because you can improve your English, although I miss you a lot. Last Monday I talked to your boyfriend, Pau, and we met in a bar of Figueres because he had to give me the book I lent him. Don’t you remember that? The book was the one I used to do my research project, the title is “Memorias de Idhún”.

Well, Pau is also missing you and in June maybe you will get a surprise. In June he and I are going to Ireland, for two days because we want to see you.

After this news I think you will be very happy and you’ll also want our visit.

Until then, I hope you are learning much English and you have good feeding with the people around you.

Hugs and kisses.

Eli

Today i am going to talk about catalan literature i am

Today I am going to talk about Catalan literature. I am going to talc specifically about Maria-Mercè Marçal, a well known feminist writer. She was born in Barcelona, in 1952 and she studied Classic Philology. She won some prizes as the prizes Carles Riba of poetry for her books. She wrote novels like “La passió segons Reneé Vivien”, “Viratge, reminiscències”, among others.

Furthermore Maria-Mercè Marçal was a real feminist writer, she got married with Ramon Pinyol, a poet. After some years she realised she didn’t get on well with her husband and they split up. Then she realised she was lesbian, is for this reason I think she was very feminist.

Now I will talk about a book of hers, about her life. This book is “Bruixa de Dol”. Is a book of poems very nice. The book is structured in eight parts. In each part deals a different topic. For example the first one deals about the sadness of the poet and the second one deals about the strength to fight sadness, and the others deals about different topics as I said before.

Well, finally I am translating a poem of Maria-Mercè Marçal that I like very much:

<< A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle.>>

Hello everybody do you know how expensive is the cost

Hello everybody,

Do you know how expensive is the cost of living? Today I have been talking to Joan about this topic. We have started talking about this topic because Joan told me last day he had seen my father and my sister in the supermarket shopping, and he also told me in that supermarket he always meets people he knows.

And if you think about this topic you realised that all the world is moved througgh money. Think about it: all people get up every day to go to work and they work because they want or, better said, NEED money for everything: to buy food, to pay for transport (car, motorbike, etc.), to buy clothes, etc.

As you can see, we need money to do everything.

Bye friends!

Hello everybody today is saturday and this

Hello everybody!

Today is Saturday and this morning I went to Girona to have driving practice in the car. At the end of May I will go for my exam. Now, I drive well, but I am very nervous when I talk about the exam with the driving instructor.

Now I will go by bicycle with some friends to Empuriabrava and there we will play basketball. I like this plan.

And tonight is “Barrakes” and I will go there with some friends like Marina, Laura, Laia, Estela, Àngels, Mª José, Daniel, Sailer, Sergi, Crsitian, Alejandro, etc.

I think tonight will go very well, as every year because everybody is happy and everybody wants to dance and enjoy parties. I like going to “Barrakes” very much.

Bye people!

UDG!!!

Hello everybody!

Today we have been to the University of Girona to attend a chat about the degree we wanted to study next year. I went with Mª José to the Education faculty and I also wanted to go to the Philology chat but I didn’t have time. But well, I think I have my ideas clear: I want to study for be a teacher specialising in English language, for primary school. My reasons are that I like children and I like teaching. Now I practise with my sister Alexandra who is in the last year of primary ( tomorrow she is twelve, and she is very happy for it). She sometimes asks me about some subjects like Maths, Catalan or English among other subjects and I help her. I have decided that next year I will do that. This is my last decision. Really? Don’t you think I will think about my degree another times? I think so ...jaja

Bye and good weekend. ;)

3rd TERM!! ;) Today: Barcelona!!

Hello everybody!

Today we have been to Barcelona to get information about which degree we have to study next year, after batxillerat. Majo, Blanca and I went together to get information about being a primary school teacher, and I also wanted to look for information to do Spanish or Catalan Philology. People who are there giving information told us there are a lot of vacant places to be a primary school teacher, and for this reason there is a big demand to do this degree, so I think next year I will do a teacher’s career. I am thinking about do this degree but with an specialisation of English. But I would also like to study Philology but one of the subjects is Greek and I don’t like it, but NOW this subject has been take out of the career. For this reason now I am thinking about which career I can do next year…..

Bye people!

I AM GOING TO VALENCIA

Hello everybody,

Today I am very happy because in the school we have finished our 2nd term. Furthermore, tomorrow I am going to Valencia, to see the “Fallas”, like last year. And also going out to another place (without my parents, ji ji ji) and going out to concerts. I am going alone by train to Barcelona and there I am going to catch another train to Valencia. Then in Valencia’s train station there will be my friend Celia.

In Valencia, arround this time, there are a lot of people and is very amusing because all people are happy and all are in holiday. There, you can breathe and feel holiday, dinamite, parties……..

Last year I really liked the Fallas, it was very spectacular. I was like a child with a lollipop and I took photos of all the Fallas, they were very beautiful.

If you ever have free time I recommended you to go there.
